Like many women, my journey through perimenopause and menopause has not been easy. Experiencing the shifts in hormones, energy, metabolism, sleep, and mood firsthand opened my eyes to how little support women often receive during this stage of life. Rather than accepting the struggle, I became deeply curious and began using my own body as a kind of science experiment, exploring different therapies, lifestyle changes, and integrative approaches to restore balance and vitality. That personal journey is what fuels my passion today—to help other women better understand their bodies and feel supported, empowered, and vibrant during the menopause transition and beyond.

Menopause & Perimenopause...Oh my!

Navigating perimenopause and menopause can feel confusing and overwhelming for many women. During this stage of life, the body undergoes significant hormonal and metabolic shifts. Declining estrogen and progesterone levels can affect metabolism, insulin sensitivity, sleep quality, mood regulation, brain function, and fat storage. Many women begin to experience symptoms such as weight gain, brain fog, fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep, decreased libido, and difficulty maintaining muscle mass. At the same time, underlying factors like chronic inflammation, gut health imbalances, toxin exposure, nervous system dysregulation, and insulin resistance can further compound these challenges.

 

For many women, these physical changes are happening at the same time they are carrying an immense mental and emotional load. Women often find themselves juggling careers, parenting, relationships, aging parents, and the constant pressure to hold everything together. The chronic stress, overwhelm, and responsibility many women carry can keep the nervous system in a constant state of fight-or-flight, making it even more difficult for the body to regulate hormones, metabolism, sleep, and emotional wellbeing. Over time, this can lead to a deep disconnection from the body, leaving women feeling exhausted, depleted, and unsure where to turn for support.

 

My approach to holistic women’s health and menopause support focuses on identifying and addressing these often hidden root causes rather than simply treating symptoms. By understanding what is happening in the body at a deeper metabolic, hormonal, and nervous system level, we can create a plan that supports long-term health, vitality, and balance.

 

I offer a range of integrative therapies designed to support women during the menopause transition.
